Sheath binder

The main purpose of the sheath tying machine is to be able to tie a sheath to hold it in position before mounting it on a junction box.

The tying machine is Mecaspin’s semi-automatic equipment for tying two components together. It can be used to attach spools, hanks or bundles of wires, cables and tubes. The binder is very easy to use. Operators can be trained in a matter of minutes. After positioning the material to be knotted on the table surface, the operator presses the foot pedal to start a cycle.

In a spun-sheath manufacturing process, the spinner returns a labelled, ring-strapped sheath to the operator. To ensure that the spun sheath is securely held in place, the binder allows the sheath to be tied onto itself in a single movement, holding it in position for the rest of the process. This equipment can also be used in other phases of production, such as when assembling sleeves onto plastic boxes.
